CARBON FRAME, E8000 MOTOR, COIL SHOCK – HOW ambitious ARE YOU?
Ghost Bikes have revealed the HybRide SL AMR and HybRide SL AMR X over the weekend at BIKE Festival Riva. The German bike manufacturer is no stranger to electric bikes with a range of models including trekking, cross-country and all-mountain style eBikes. This latest addition aims to cater for the more ambitious descending riders. Featuring a carbon frame, Shimano E8000 motor and 160/140mm of travel, these eBikes are designed to climb as hard and fast as it can descend.
Not much info was given to distinguish the two models, but from the website you’ll find that the SL AMR X has a short crank length of 155mm whereas the SL AMR uses 160mm cranks. This combined with some of the description from Ghost, suggests that the X models are designed for more downhill riding. As for builds/variants, there are 3 for the SL AMR and 2 for the X. For full specifications for each one, jump on Ghost’s website.

The eBikes should be available from Ghost Bike retailers as of now, but there is no word on a wider worldwide release or Australia. With a more aggressive design and coil shocks, could the HybRide SL AMR X be a Kenevo killer? Let us know in the comments below!
