refined frame, more tyre clearance, battery integration and carbon

Trek have revealed their upcoming Powerfly range for the 2019 models. With the 2018 models receiving positive feedback, the American company have kept most of the eBike the same, and refined the design with some added upgrades. Geometry for most of the bikes remain unchanged, which is the same story for the Bosch mid drive motor as well. However some of the 2019 models sport the new integrated battery which is completely hidden in the downtube. Additional upgrades to the lineup include the eMTB specific forks for the LT (Long Travel) models and four piston Shimano brakes.

The top of the range LT Powerfly model receives the carbon treatment which saves 650g and is equipped with the recently revealed SRAM NX Eagle groupset combined with the Bontrager XR4 Plus tyres.

There will also be a Women’s specific range which include 2 full suspension eMTB and 3 hardtails. This is accompanied by the standard Powerfly hardtail model and Powerfly Sport as well for those urban and trekking riders.

Release for Australia has not been confirmed, but it is expected to release at major Trek retailers later this year.

    • Depends on which model, and your location. Some models have already been released in some regions. Your best bet is to ask your local Trek dealer where they should be able to give you an ETA. Which model are you eyeing?
