SPECIALIZED’S ANSWER TO HARDCORE RIDERS WANTING THE TURBO LEVO WITH MORE TRAVEL
Eurobike was filled with eBikes with many of the big companies such as Haibike, Pivot and KTM showing off their fleet of electric goodness; but also smaller brands showcasing their unique designs. One of the biggest news though, was definitely the Specialized Kenevo! This is Specialized’s official answer to the hardcore riders asking for more travel on the Turbo Levo.
The differences between the 2018 Turbo Levo’s are quite significant in terms of suspension components. Thanks to the Rockshox Lyrik RCT3 forks and Öhlins TTX coil shock, the Kenevo sees an added 30mm and 45mm travel at the front and rear respectively.
With the Kenevo, only an alloy frame is offered which is obviously was built off Specialized’s Enduro model, whilst the Turbo Levo has carbon offerings.
Specialized did say this was their response to people asking for the Turbo Levo with more travel. So it would be smart of them to keep most of the things the Turbo Levo had. Firstly, the motor and battery. The Kenevo will be equipped with the same 504Wh battery and Brose 1.3 Turbo RX 250W mid drive motor.
The drivetrain looks to be similar as well, with models from the Turbo Levo range using the SRAM GX 11 Speed groupset like the Kenevo. Full details have not been confirmed for both the Kenevo and 2018 Turbo Levo yet, so there may be more differences or similarities.
The Colour Options
The Kenevo will release in two colour-ways with 4 sizes (S, M, L, XL), however there is no word on an official Australian release. Expect a limited release for an Australian release. The pricing has not been confirmed, but will be upwards of $9,500AUD (converted from Euros).
